The Roswell Gymnastics Booster Club is a non-profit organization, whose members are parents of gymnasts in the competitive team program. We strive to improve our organization and support our facility, coaches and our talented gymnasts. The booster club is critical to the success of the Roswell Gymnastics team program, as its main purpose is to raise funds for competitive team activities and meet-related expenses.
Competitive gymnastics is an expensive sport, particularly as gymnasts progress into the higher levels of the AAU and USA programs. The Roswell Gymnastics Booster Club helps offset expenses by paying:
- 100% of team entry fees for all meets
- 25-30% of each gymnast's meet entry fees
- A portion of each gymnast's travel expenses, compulsory or optional
- Meet and travel-related expenses for all coaches
- Congress expenses for team managers
- 100% of cost for fun team-building activities, including the holiday party, camp games, and the year-end awards banquet
As the booster club activities benefit all gymnasts in the competitive program, membership of at least one parent is required, although both are certainly welcome! Fundraising activities typically include an annual gift wrap/sundries drive and working at home meets, our major source of revenue.
Benefits of membership in the booster club are not just financial. Supporting home meets and team activities is a great way to get to know parents you'll be sitting on bleachers with throughout your child's gymnastics career. It also shows your child you're equally committed to her success as a gymnast.
