Years at Roswell: Competitive gymnast, part time coach, Kindergym Supervisor, Coordinator over Gymnastics and Performing Arts for 28 years full-time and 5 additional years, part-time

Competitive background/personal accomplishments:

  • BBA Marketing, University of Georgia 1988

  • First gymnast for Roswell Recreation and member of Roswell Gymnastics compulsory and Optional Gymnastics team in the old Class System through Class 2.

  • Director and coach for Athens-Clarke Gymnastics in Athens, Georgia 1985-88.

  • Roswell Recreation and Parks: Preschool Supervisor 1988-1996.

  • Roswell Recreation and Parks: Coordinator for Gymnastics 1996- Present

  • National USA Instructor for KAT, MELPD, R101, and R102 since 1990

  • Georgia State Chair for AAU Gymnastics: 1999- present

  • Founder of GymStar program for State of Georgia: 1990

  • Georgia State Clinician

  • Region 8 Conference speaker and educator

  • USA National Conference speaker and educator

Personal coaching accomplishments:

  • Coached all levels of gymnast from beginners and preschool through USA level 9 on all events. 

  • Numerous state champions and champion teams, regional and Eastern National Qualifiers, 2 regional team members,  one regional champion, one Eastern National Floor champion.

  • Uneven Bars

Favorite things about coaching: 

  • Teaching the life lessons to kids by using gymnastics as a vehicle to bigger and better things. Helping kids to understand that there is winning and feedback. There is no such thing as failure. It is simply an opportunity to learn and grow through feedback.
     

Favorite Things outside of gym:

  • relaxing with family, going to beach, tailgating with friends and family at UGA and Clemson games.

  • Volunteering with animal rescue and senior citizens.
